The software permits the PC to operate as a credit card payment processing terminal thereby eliminating the need for a dedicated countertop-style credit card terminal. ePNJPOS will submit the payment transaction over the internet to the secure eProcessing Network payment gateway that will work in conjunction with the merchant's payment acquirer for payment settlement and subsequent funds transfer to the merchant's bank account.

ePNJPOS easily expands from a simple terminal by working in conjunction with a variety of peripheral devices and optional enhancements to construct a feature-rich point of sale system. A significant advantage of using ePNJPOS is its portability. The software can be installed onto multiple computers with ease, since all configuration is centrally managed and stored on the secure eProcessing Network gateway server.
