Check Readers and Check Scanners
Check Readers and Scanners are used to capture MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition), which is used for routing and account numbers that are imprinted on the bottom of all checks. This permits conversion of checks into electronic payment transactions to speed payment settlement and eliminate trips to the bank. These devices are used in conjunction with point of sale credit card terminals, PC terminal software, or virtual terminals.
